A Comparative Research Process on Socio-Ecological Frameworks

SETER aimed at assessing the relevance and the complementarities of diverse theories and frameworks used to analyze the dynamics and management approaches relating to socio-ecological systems by applying and testing them on several empirical research case studies developed by the participating research units based in Montpellier. The purpose of this assessment was to enhance the value of such empirical research and to clarify the respective potential of the different theoretical frameworks. The project was expected to provide the basis for new conceptualizations of socio-ecological systems dynamics and management.
